DAY 01 CUSCO/CACHORA/CHIQUISHCA
At five in the morning, we will pick you up from the hotel to begin our journey to the town of Cachora (2, 800 m.a.s.l.). We will pass through several typical towns along the way, as well as the Anta's Pampa (3, 391 m.a.s.l.). This region is well-known for its long rivers, fertile valleys, broad pampas, and prairies in addition to its production of cattle and agriculture. Because of everything, the area has a unique landscape. When we arrive in Cachora, our staff, muleteers, mules/horses, and trekking team will be waiting for us. They will carry all of the camping gear and your personal duffel bags (up to 8 kg). After a brief rest and a light breakfast, we will start our trek.
The first few hours of the hike will be spent primarily on level ground until we arrive at Capuliyoc (2, 800 m.a.s.l.) and its lookout point. Here, we will be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain range, the Apurimac River, which is twice as deep as the well-known "Grand Canyon" of the United States, and the Apurimac Canyon. This lengthy, bountiful river is the source of the Amazon, the largest river system in the world. Before reaching the Atlantic Ocean, it passes through all of the Andes mountains. In the distance, we will also be able to see Choquequiraw. We will resume our hike after lunch and descend to our campsite, Chiquishca (1,930 m.a.s.l.). Here is where we'll stay the night. Here, in the Andes' longest canyon.
DAY 02 CHIQUISHCA / MARAMPATA
We will resume our hike in the direction of Rosalinas beach (1,550 m.a.s.l.) after breakfast. Afterwards, we will descend through the Apurimac Canyon until we reach the river. We can refresh ourselves by taking a dip in the water here. The hanging bridge will then be used to get us across to the other side of the river. The hardest portion of the route will start right after that. A winding trail that leads us away from the Canyon and toward the Santa Rosa area (2,290 m.a.s.l.) will be used for our ascent. This walk takes about three hours, plus a quick break. We will subsequently keep climbing in the direction of Marampata (2,850 m.a.s.l.).
We will see the area's extensive and enchanted vegetation—of which orchids hold the primary and most significant position—as we hike. Violets will also be visible. There's a chance to spot various bird species as well as distant deer and anteaters. We are going to spend the night here.
DAY 03 MARAMPATA / CHOQUEQUIRAW / MARAMPATA / CHIQUISHCA
After eating breakfast at Marampampa (2,850 m.a.s.l. ), we will start our hike to Choquequiraw, also known as "Gold Crib" (3,033 m.a.s.l. ), which was abandoned in 1572 and is the last remaining Inca refuge. Walking this route will take about one and a half hours.
Choquequiraw was created with nine sections. These were originally intended to be small towns with squares around which all of the streets in each town would lead. The areas known as the upper areas (Hanan), storage areas (Qolqa), main square (Huaqaypata), lower square (hurin), the ceremonial platform (Ushno), the andenes system where crops used to grow (Shaqra Anden), and the priest houses on the lower portion of the hill have all been identified.
Given all of these facts, it is likely that Choquequiraw was a significant political and economic hub that served as a cross-cultural trade and commerce hub for the coast, mountains, and jungle. It is important to note that Choquequiraw is sometimes referred to as "Machu Picchu's Sacred Sister" because of the structural and architectural resemblances.
Following our thrilling tour and investigation of Choquequiraw, we will head back to Marampata (2,850 meters above sea level) for lunch. Following our river crossing through the Rosalina beach area (1,550 meters above sea level), we will descend to the Apurimac Canyon and then proceed to Chiquishca (1,930 meters above sea level). We are going to spend the night and have dinner here.
DAY 04 CHIQUISHCA / CACHORA / CUSCO
We will begin our ascent towards Capuliyoc (2,800 m.a.s.l.) at around 8:00 am in the morning following breakfast in Chiquishca (1,939 m.a.s.l.), which should take about three hours. After about two hours, we will continue on our trek to Cachora (2,800 m.a.s.l.). Our private van will be waiting for us in Cachora so that we can travel to Cusco (3,400 m.a.s.l.). It will take us roughly four to five hours to get to your hotel. We wish you well on this once-in-a-lifetime journey. Termination of the services.
