Our Philosophy is to make a difference to you and to the places you visit.
This was one of the best trips I’ve ever taken thanks to Puma Expeditions!! My husband and I traveled with a group of 9 total on our trip to Cusco, our main guide Jorge was excellent leader for the group! It was a trip filled with education and exploration. Our guide for our 2 days Machu Picchu adventure was Miguel. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the Inca history.
Thanks to everyone at Puma Expeditions for the trip of a lifetime!!
We will pick you up from your different hotels from 04:30 to 05:00 am, then continue with our trip to reach the village of Mollepata where we will enjoy a typical breakfast of the area.
After breakfast we will return to our bus to continue our Humantay Full Day lagoon tour so that we can observe the beautiful landscapes surround by mountains, continuing until we reach Soraypampa, where our walk to the Humantay Lagoon will begin.
Here our specialized guide will give us enough time to be able to enlist our equipment such as, canes, water, personal backpacks.
We will start with our walk to the Humantay Lagoon at a height of 13992 ft. our ascent lasts about an hour and a half until we reach the Humantay lagoon.
Arriving at this beautiful Humantay lagoon, you will have all the time necessary to enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds us and also fill us with the energy that this mountain of the snowy Salkantay possesses.
Here our guide will give us a demonstration of the use of the coca leaf and a small offering to our Apus (Mountains) that allowed us to arrive, which we will be involved in.
After all this beautiful adventure we will descend to where our bus (Soraypampa) left us. Continuing the trip we will head to Mollepata where we will enjoy our lunch and after that we continue our return to Cusco, arriving in the city around 18:30.

Humantay is a snow peak mountain (19570 ft.) that feeds to a small turquoise lagoon the melting snow creates the lagoon that is (13992 ft.) meters above sea level.
It takes approximately about an hour and a half to climb the mountain from Soraypampa (12565 ft.) which is the camp from which the walk begins.
The lagoon is surrounded by an incredible view of the mountains of the Vilcabamba mountain range including the Salkantay (20570 ft.) is definitely a small day hike that should not be missed while in visiting Cusco.

What people are saying about this tour!!
1 Day Bus Tour -
Really good experience to visit Humantay Mountain. My girlfriend and I didn't have to worry about the altitude sickness our tour guide Jorge was friendly and helpful. Best of all we had free time in Peru, we give excellent recommendations to Puma expeditions.
