This was one of the best trips I’ve ever taken thanks to Puma Expeditions!! My husband and I traveled with a group of 9 total on our trip to Cusco, our main guide Jorge was excellent leader for the group! It was a trip filled with education and exploration. Our guide for our 2 days Machu Picchu adventure was Miguel. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the Inca history.

Before the adventure begins, your rafting guide will give you the safety information and demonstrate rafting commands and safety procedures and it will take a few minutes to practice everything you learned in the safety briefing, and once, when, when The whole group is ready will be the time to start rafting!
This section is perfect for beginners, groups of friends, groups of schoolchildren and families. This part of the river offers pleasant friendly rapids during the first hours, the river is quiet with some level I and II rapids. You can also enjoy beautiful Inca ruins and mountains that run parallel to the Urubamba River. The last hour we will go through rapids like class or level III and some other rapids with techniques. If the weather conditions are good, you may decide to jump into the river and be able to swim, after the adventure on the river there will be a delicious lunch waiting for us near the river side.
After lunch we will have to enlist the equipment to be able to return to the city of Cusco and drop them off at their hotel.

Rafting down class II-III rapids through the Urubamba river with beautiful scenery of the Andes, this tour gives you a rush of adrenaline but without being too challenging. If you're looking for something a little more challenging then longer trips with higher class rapids can also be organized.
